John Mellencamp and the Power of Music

John Mellencamp recently was with the right enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, so softly that you May Have Missed. Makes sense. Most of Mellencamp's career in this way.

John Mellencamp is my favorite musician. Is it a boy first discovered music. My enjoyment of music began at the same time Mellencamp first gained national attention, with hits such as Jack and Diane, and hurts so good.

Why would a 13 year old boy from Brooklyn as they are, and begin to pursue a career rocker from Indiana? Even Mellencamp admits: "It's never cool to be fan of John Mellencamp." That is, for me, always been a part of attraction. Mellencamp has enjoyed popularity, but never wildly popular. Even back in the 80s, there's always Bruce Springsteen or Madonna grabbing headlines for Mellencamp, and for me, it's cool.

can you say that John Mellencamp produced the best rock music in the 1980s. While Bruce Springsteen has been trying to conquer the world with a massive album, Born in the USA, Mellencamp was grinding out a great rock album after another.

garage-band sound with world-class arrangements and lyrics, Mellencamp quietly went about his business from the Heartland of America, the narration of the highest order. stories and melodies which were in for me. I grew up in the early 1980s. the music world was filled with techno beats, the rest of disco, and songs about the desire for sex, sex, and think about sex.

From the Heartland, Mellencamp music and stories are always on a higher plane. Yes, he wrote about getting a job early on, but Mellencamp got busy writing about the problems, not just high, but universal. As a child of the poor live in Brooklyn, I always stood in the shadow of Manhattan. I have not the country's haves, the Brooklyn Bridge yet, but a world away from the "good life" in a big city.

John Mellencamp wrote it, sang it. As all the fall and the job is to stand back up, even when it hurts. How was it wrong to not, and that the measure of a person is not what the outside, but what they have within themselves. His music has a soul. It is a vision. It is poetry wrapped in a rock carving, with a dash of folk and country flavor.

I've always been proud to Mellencamp's my favorite artist. He always made me think. They always make me sing. He always made me feel good. It is a sign for me Mellencamp.
