Keep Them in School Longer, We Aren't Getting Our Message Into Their Heads! Did Obama Say That?

Did Mr. Obama only recommend that public schools need more time to "brainwashing" our next generation? Well not really, but what he said should get your dander up! AP Associated Press reported today (September 29, 2009 Yahoo News ).

, "says Obama American children spend too little time at school, putting them at a disadvantage with other students around the world." (September 27, 2009 AP article reported on Yahoo)

Why would he say something like that. Especially given the fact that American school children do not actually spend more hours in school than those rascally clever Asian and European students. AP also reported that the small things.

"Children in the United States spend more time in school (1146 teaching hours per year) than children in Asian countries that consistently outscore the U.S. in math and science tests" (ibid)

Wow, am I missing something here? President Obama stands for more time in school, less time with his family in response to higher test scores internationally. But is it a time or something else? AP rejected the article's placement. This is not the main hours! Perhaps the quality of teacher, family participation, even the distractions of learning on each teacher by the State Board of Education and U.S. Department of Education.

Well let me take this apart for you. President Obama said he wants to add days of the school year, even to the point of use on weekends and summer vacations to educate our kids. He claims that he needed to do "for children's work." They will not be able to compete, they are "stupid" (my word) and that we can learn our way out of a hat.

Anyone else out there as outraged as I have this logic. We already know that we are putting in hours, so what gives?

more hours are supposed to solve all our problems of education, is a false premise. If more hours were all that was needed, then we've already been there already. So what is actually happening here.

, whether he really just want their children in their public schools more each day, more days per year, even on weekends ... so that they can learn how to sing "Hooray for Barack Hussein Obama ?"
